Oops! We messed up.
To enhance our security, we rolled out a new anti-fraud system last week to detect accounts that were using the same PayPal account on more than one FMX account. Unexpectedly, a number of accounts have gotten frozen. Oops!
If you made purchases within the last week and didn’t receive your IMVU credits / Lindens etc., chances are that your account got caught in this.
We didn’t expect that many accounts to be affected by this new feature. Unfortunately, with any new system, the unexpected happens sometimes.
We’re terribly sorry to all who were affected by this. Our tiny team is working as fast as we can to improve on this system, as well as respond to all the tickets.
If you’ve been affected by this, here’s how you can help us speed up the process…

File a ticket here: http://help.firstmeta.com

In your ticket, include your invoice number(s)

Include names of all your other FMX accounts. We will merge them into a single account.

Do NOT open a paypal dispute. We will have to respond to the dispute and that will slow us down even further.
(If you’ve already filed one, please refrain from filing multiple tickets, or posting on the IMVU group, Facebook page or blog comments – it’ll only slow us down cleaning up the groups/multiple tickets.
If you don’t hear back from us, simply update your first ticket – we get a reminder when you do that.)
We’re trying to respond to all the tickets as fast as we can. Appreciate your patience. Please rest assured that you will receive your credits.

I hope we get this issue handled immediately… Truth be told you guys are the best resellers that I’ve ever encountered and I hate to have lose a site that I’ve come to trust. Though it is totally understandable about what happened, so I’ll wait little bit longer.

You know the sad thing is you are still letting people buy credits, even thought this problem still exists.
Gee, doesn’t that slow you down some?
Maybe you should have a warning up when people go to purchase and let them know what is going on. Now not only do you have yet ANOTHER unhappy customer, but you have another issue to add to all the others and I don’t have my credits.
You can bet this will be the last time I use your service.

@blazin: this arises only if users have multiple FMX accounts. Multiple accounts are usually an indication of fraud which we need to be alerted of. It’s not a bug therefore it doesn’t make sense for us to stop orders. We fulfill and will fulfill all legit orders.

I wasn’t saying to stop orders, I was saying to warn people before they buy that there may be an issue due to a new security change and that they may possibly have to wait for a coupe days for their credits.

Reading all the issues everyone is having, I wish i would’ve read this before purchasing, now im in the same situation like everyone else is, I haven’t received my credits either, I agree with blazin 100 percent, you could have warned ppl about this, there for i could’ve made my own decision on using your service or not. Looking at everyones dates the issue were made, Its been almost a full month you still having this problem????? I can assure u just as well this this the last time i purchased with you all

I been waiting on a simple reply for the longest from Meta Exchange, and it seems like u guys aren’t really trying to help me at all. Its ok I will inform Paypal or somebody if I have too. I have bought credits for the first time, and First meta exchange sent me a message saying to wait until 25 hours. Now 36-38 hours after. I have still not RECEIVE MY CREDITS. Can you please ensure that I get my credits right away… I’m STILL WAITING….

@Cypr1an: there could be a number of different reasons for it. If for example you pay by echeques, paypal takes 3-7 business days to clear the payment. If you are a first-time buyer, there is a 25-hour hold so we can review the purchase. We’ll have to look into your account to find out the specific reason if there is a delay on your purchase.
